M. A. Harun Maye

Harun Maye, born 1973, teaches media studies and is currently lecturer and researcher at the International Research Institute for Cultural Technologies and Media Philosophy at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Graduated in German Philology, Philosophy and Political Science, he received his intellectual training in the DFG-Graduate Seminar on Codification of Violence in Medial Transformations at the Berlin Humboldt-University. Focusing on the intersection of media and cultural communication, he was a fellow of the DFG-Research Centre Media and Cultural Communication, organized jointly by the universities of Cologne, Bonn and Aachen. His fields of research and teaching are: German literary history, the history of terms and metaphors, the history and theory of media, cultural technologies and the history of reading.
