Atmospheric Citizens: How to Make Breathable Worlds Vortrag von Jennifer Gabrys

This talk will investigate the increasing use of digital technologies for monitoring environments. From environmental justice groups monitoring petrochemicals in the Imperial Valley of California, to urban residents monitoring personal exposures in India and China, there has been a proliferation of DIY and citizen-based projects using sensors across community projects, personal exposure monitoring, environmental justice campaigns, and academic research. How do these practices create different forms of environmental citizenship, and in what ways do they work toward more breathable worlds?
